Usually I forget when the May bank holiday is coming up and make no plans. This one however is different. I am making it one about seeing friends and treating myself to a fun weekend! I just need to make sure I don’t go too mad and blow a month’s budget! All tickets have been pre-booked in advance so the only money I need is spending money. Woo-hoo.
Stephen Bailey: Can’t Think Straight
4th May 2018 | Soho Theatre, 9:30pm
I have known Stephen for some time now. We used to live together for a year and he is one of my best friends. I don’t think I have ever met someone who is so genuine and caring too, which makes him a fabulous BFF (he has also written for Broke Girl).
I booked a table for 3 of my friends and I to see Stephen. Not sure why the only seats available were right at the front, but at least I will get to see him up close! Thank goodness I no longer feature in his set and he has new material! One of Stephen’s charms is that he loves his family (i won’t spoil it for anyone else!). His dear mum even features in a video at the start. If you still haven’t seen Stephen Bailey, you really should. He’s amazing and is starting to amass quite a following!
I Feel Pretty with Amy Schumer
Released in cinemas across the UK & Ireland 4th May 2018
5th May 2018 | London Cinema
I can’t wait to see this film! I Feel Pretty is about a woman who struggles with feelings of deep insecurity and low self esteem, that hold her back everyday wakes from a brutal fall in an exercise class believing she is suddenly a supermodel. With this newfound confidence she is empowered to live her life fearlessly and flawlessly. So Saturday I am going to meet Lauren for a stroll on the South Bank in the sun then a Saturday night film is in order. A girlie must. Review to follow!
Southbank – FREE
I love the Southbank so much. It’s my favourite place in London. Just strolling along the river costs nothing (unless of course you stop to enjoy the eateries and drinking places along the way!)
Fierce Angel Presents ‘Resting Beach Face’ with Tropical Velvet
Despite interviewing Mark Doyle many moons again and being a massive fan of his music. I have yet to meet him! I am so excited about spending my Sunday dancing to Seb Fontaine, Freemasons, Peyton, Soraya Vivian, Matt Collins, Paul Wilkins, Tropical Velvet and many more. Bank Holiday Weekends are all about having fun and my favourite thing is dancing (believe it or not).
So i am off to take my “Resting Beach Face” on Sunday 6th May to @ Floripa in Shoreditch. 15 hours of the finest, fiercest house music.
I have a big event next week, which I am working on. So time to rest, write a little and rejuvenate with lots of water and rest. Hopefully it will be amazing & sunny too! A little relax time in the garden seems the perfect end to a fabulous bank holiday weekend in London. Hope you had a good one too!
