Prime day is here! Two days of non-stop deals exclusive to Prime Membership ERS

Prime Day is back for two days!

Two days of non-stop deals exclusively for Amazon Prime Members. Each year Amazon preps a large number of gadgets, products and electronics (amongst many things) which are discounted across the two days. However, you will need an active Prime membership to be eligible. So is it worth it?

Disclaimer: Broke Girl in the City is part of Amazon’s affiliate programme so should you click on and then go to buy, we might receive a small commission. However, all items on this page have been chosen by us, and not Amazon.

Amazon Storefont

Broke Girl in the City Amazon Storefront

I have a storefront on Amazon where I add my wishlist and other items I think will be of interest.

As I am quite an impulsive shopper, I tend to have a list ready of things I am looking to buy. I am looking for a new laptop so I am going to be checking this section and also the lightning deals to see if there is anything. Check out the renewed/refurbished section for deals such as an Apple iMac 21.5in with a 1-year Amazon Renew Guarantee for £319.00 or an HP Probook for £329.00

Check out the Broke Girl in the City Amazon Storefront for ideas.

Top Tips for Amazon Prime Day

1. CHECK OUT THE LIGHTNING DEALS

These deals only appear for a limited time only so it’s worth checking in over the course of the day. It’s a rather addictive viewing, so make sure you are not sitting on it all day if you are at work!

2. CREATE A WATCH LIST

As tempting as a lot of these deals are. Create a list before you shop of things you would like, and what you can afford to spend. Amazon also recommends using their Watch List to keep track of Lightning Deals on Prime Day.

3. SHOP AROUND

Look at what the price is for your item elsewhere before committing to a sale even if it is discounted. It’s worth doing a little bit of research before buying any large items.

Scam

Please be aware of scam emails & texts today

Unfortunately, events like this always mean that you should extra careful when checking emails and texts for scammers. I have written two articles, one for COVID-19 and one for Black Friday to help identify fraudulent emails. It doesn’t matter how well the branding looks on the email. Check the email address from which it is sent. Buy straight from Amazon and don’t click on any email without checking first!
