Bavarian beer festival Springfest comes to Camden for the first time this May with live music and craft beer.
Spring is in the air and soon, ale will be too as beer lovers are invited to clink tankards at this year’s
much anticipated Springfest at Electric Ballroom in Camden on Saturday 22nd May. Springfest is
the Bavarian beer festival that started in Munich in 1965 and has since affectionately become
known as ‘Little Oktoberfest.’ It is a welcoming celebration of all things boozy and beer-y and is
coming to the centre of Camden for the very first time this May.
Springfest Camden will also showcase the finest in UK craft ales, pils and lagers as well as farmhouse ciders
Right now, everyone is desperate to be swigging full steins of the finest ales while we munch on
hearty Bratwurst and this one has been brewed up with something of a twist. In a break from
Bavarian tradition, Springfest Camden will also showcase the finest in UK craft ales, pils and
lagers as well as farmhouse ciders which will support the UK’s vibrant craft-brewing scene.
Springfest has also done away with the over-familiar Oompah Band and instead replaced it with a
cutting-edge, street style live brass offering from No Limit Street Band and talented local DJs
spinning big tunes at Club De Fromage.
Mouth-watering Bavarian street food from Brat Brothers will keep you fuelled with
authentic Bratwurst, Weisswurst, Veganwurst, fries and all the trimmings.
Pitcher this: you, in the main beer hall with a seat at the long and traditional Biergarten tables as
smiley servers in authentic dress bring as many trays of beer to you as you fancy. Sound good? Well,
that’s not all. Mouth-watering Bavarian street food from Brat Brothers will keep you fuelled with
authentic Bratwurst, Weisswurst, Veganwurst, fries and all the trimmings. You can also look forward
to freshly baked pretzels with sweet mustard sauce and the not so Bavarian but delicious churros
with a selection of sweet sauces including peanut and chocolate and much more besides.
As the end of lockdown comes into sight, the countdown has now begun to this brilliant and
boozy celebration of all things Bavarian and British.
Sessions are will be socially distanced in line with government guidelines and tickets are available for groups of four, five and six people for just £15 per person from camdenspringfest.com
