Tesco has been quietly giving away free products every Thursday.
Called Freebie Thursdays, the promotion gives selected Clubcard members a free item to claim in-store. It takes less than 30 seconds to check whether you’ve received an offer, and if you have, it could mean anything from bakery treats to pizzas completely free.
What Is Tesco Freebie Thursday?
Every Thursday, Tesco adds a free product coupon to the Tesco app for selected Clubcard members.
If you’re lucky enough to receive one:
- Open the Tesco Grocery & Clubcard app
- Head to the Clubcard section
- Check your coupons
- Add the coupon to your Clubcard
- Redeem it in-store before it expires
They can’t be used online or with Whoosh deliveries.
Most coupons are valid for seven days, so there’s no need to rush straight to the supermarket. I just managed to redeem a free 150 mg of crisps before tomorrow’s date and a free Stonebaked pizza!
You can still register for a Tesco Clubcard account even if you have a Tesco Clubcard. I have mine all set up within the Tesco app on my phone.
What Freebies Have People Been Getting?
One of the fun parts is that nobody knows what will appear next.
Recent freebies have included:
- Walkers Sensations crisps
- Tesco bakery cookies
- PizzaExpress dough balls
- Tesco ice lollies
- Stonebaked pizzas
- Coca-Cola
- Cleaning products
Not everyone receives the same product, and some shoppers won’t receive a coupon at all.
Tesco says offers are personalised and allocated to selected Clubcard members.

- To be logged into your account
