I can’t wait for Strictly! 15 contestants have now been confirmed who are going to dance each weekend to win the glitterball trophy! This year I know Vick Hope – a former colleague from MTV, who is absolutely lovely. I am really looking forward to the new season and we have a range of personalities who should make this season really interesting.

This year we have a number of celebrities, ranging from YouTuber Joe Suggs, to Capital FM Presenter Vick Hope, cricketer Graeme Swann, Ashley Roberts and Lee Ryan. Let’s look at Joe Sugg and Vick Hope in a little more detail.

Joe Sugg – YouTuber

Joe Suggs video announcing he is going on Strictly has already amassed 621,367 views. A famous YouTuber, author and Vlogger, Joe is the younger brother of famous YouTuber Zoella (Sugg). Joe’s main YouTube channel has 8.2 million followers and his Twitter account a staggering 5.53 million subscribers. Interesting move from the BBC, but should introduce a new audience to the programme. Will be interesting to see how he is on the show – a stray from hitting himself in the face with a dead fish or deconstructing Love Island.

I DIDN’T CHOOSE THE SUGG LIFE, THE SUGG LIFE CHOSE ME.

Vick Hope

I have known Vick from our days working together at MTV. Beautiful in every way, Vick will bring glamour, fun and no doubt her own army of fans to the show. Vick has worked on 4Music, MTV and is a presenter on Capital FM with Roman Kemp. Vick also joined The Voice UK and The Voice Kids as its digital reporter. I am personally very excited to follow Vick’s journey on Strictly!

Other contestants include…

Graeme Swann (Cricketer), Dr. Ranj Singh, Stacey Dooley, Ashley Roberts, Lee Ryan, comedian Seann Walsh, Kate Silverton, paratriathlete Lauren SteadmanSusannah Constantine one half of Trinny and Susannah and actor Charles Venn.

People say write about what you know. So I did. I founded Broke Girl in the City – a smart girl’s guide to leading a fabulous lifestyle on a budget! A career spanning entertainment, bars & nightclubs (and frequenting them), film, music and TV, there isn’t much I don’t know about how to have fun in the city when completely broke.
