Vintage Threads x Hewstons Barbers collaboration launches with Hackney pop up
Hackney-based sustainable clothing company, Vintage Threads, in collaboration with Hackney based barber shop, Hewstons, are launching a weekend pop up taking place on Hackney Road, 9th June.
The collaboration will see the clothes company showcase a huge selection of their unique clothing from designers such as Tommy Hilfiger, Nike, Ralph Lauren, Adidas, Fila, Burberry, and Champion – for men and women. The pop-up shop will take place at Hewstons Barbers, on Hackney Road.
The company was set up in 2016 to try and improve sustainability in the fashion industry. Fast Fashion created by the likes on Asos, Boohoo, etc are creating a throwaway culture. We now throw away nearly the double the number of clothes we did a decade ago and whilst we look to reduce down on plastics and meats it seems we are yet to make that effort in the fashion industry. So Vintage Threads is a movement to try and help this. We go around the world handpicking vintage clothing to allow the piece of clothing another chapter in its life!
Vintage Threads are a London-based vintage clothing retailer selling only the finest handpicked garments from across Europe. The company’s #BeGreenWearVintage campaign encourages people to try and be more sustainable in their approach to fashion and explore alternatives such as charity shops, vintage sellers, swapping with friends and Depop.
