Buckle up! As the nation prepares for a new post-pandemic dawn. The producers behind Ministry of Sound’s Classical Show launch CAR PARK PARTY – the UK’s first socially distant and safe entertainment experience – brings together world-renowned brands in comedy, karaoke and cinema and is set to roll out nationwide. Reuniting communities this summer for the ultimate drive-in entertainment experience.
With many concerts and festivals being cancelled or postponed over the coming months. CAR PARK PARTY provides an evening and a whole weekend to look forward to. Each day will hold a different fun-filled experience showcasing Car Park Comedy, Car Park Karaoke and Car Park Cinema, something for all of the family and friends to enjoy.
The UK’s top comedic talent will be supplied by the world-famous Comedy Store, with live music returning to outdoor venues in the form of a spectacular sing-a-long concert from The Massaoke Band. A themed night at the movies will round off the weekend’s festivities – all to be enjoyed from the comfort and safety of your own car.
As well as providing a weekend’s worth of entertainment, what sets CAR PARK PARTY apart from the rest is the amazing renowned venues they have already secured. Chelmsford City Racecourse will host the first weekend (19th-21st June).
This followed by becoming part of this year’s Henley Festival (9th-11th July), with further iconic venues in a variety of locations across the UK still to be announced. You can be sure of the highest quality event in a trusted, worry-free and safe environment.

CAR PARK COMEDY, in association with The Comedy Store
With nearly 40 years of experience in the business and as the premier name in comedy. The Comedy Store remains the place to see tomorrow’s stars today. The likes of Eddie Izzard, John Bishop, Jimmy Carr, Rhod Gilbert and Sarah Millican have all cut their comedy teeth with The Comedy Store. Car Park Comedy will showcase the brightest names in comedy today (many of whom you will recognise from shows such as 8 Out of 10 Cats, Mock The Week & Have I Got News For You), with two shows per location with a lorry-load of laughs guaranteed, putting smiles on faces in every car.
CAR PARK KARAOKE, in association with The Massaoke Band
The idea is simple: a brilliant live band play the greatest anthems of all time with giant screens projecting lyrics, reinventing the car sing-a-long so all the family can join in. The Massaoke Band bring the party wherever they play; they’ve had thousands singing along with them at shows, including Glastonbury and Latitude Festivals, the Rugby World Cup and Fringe Festivals around the world, establishing The Massaoke Band as one of the most exhilarating live acts around.
CAR PARK CINEMA
Finally, Car Park Cinema is our take on the classic American Drive-In movie, with two films each evening on our huge screen, utilising FM broadcast to ensure the best sound in your vehicle. We will be screening all of your family favourites and Oscar-winning Hollywood classics, from Disney to Spielberg – a blockbuster for all ages!

Who is behind Car Park Party?

What happens if the government changes guidelines?
All tickets have a 100% money-back guarantee. Should government guidelines change or full refunds will be given in the event of cancellation.
Is it safe to go to Car Park Party?
We are working closely with venues and their local authorities to make sure that Car Park Party is in line with the latest social distancing guidelines to ensure everybody has an enjoyable and safe experience.

How is the parking done at Car Park Party?
A specialist traffic management team will be on-site, and all vehicles will be parked two metres apart, with clear sightlines to the entertainment in size order, from smaller cars at the front to bigger vehicles at the rear. Customers are advised to stay in their vehicles whilst on-site, leaving only to use toilet facilities where strict social distancing & sanitation protocols will be in place.
How do I present my tickets to enter?
Tickets will be scanned through car windows, so no human contact is necessary; we are using a contactless solution.
What time should I arrive?
Please do not arrive more than 30 minutes prior to your event start time.
Will there be food available to purchase?
A range of snacks and beverages will be available at the events that will adhere to current government guidelines. Purchase via the Car Park Party website or app.
Please take all litter with you, recycling where possible.
Will there be toilets available at Car Park Party?
Toilet facilities will be provided with strict social distancing, health and safety management, and sanitation measures in place. Accessible toilets will also be provided.
Is there a limit on people in cars?
No, but you must adhere to your vehicle’s legal limits and the government’s COVID-19 guidelines on mixing households.
Is there a limit on tickets?
No limit. However, you will require one ticket per vehicle.
Is it only for people from the same household?
Please refer to the current government advice on mixing households and social distancing.
Is there hearing assistance available for guests?
No. All audio is controlled by your own vehicle.
Disabled Access?
All vehicles will enter through the same route. However, accessible toilets will be provided.
Can we leave our car overnight if we’re drinking?
No vehicles can be left on site. Please nominate a designated driver. Do not drink and drive!
What happens if my Mini is stuck behind a 4×4?
Our parking team will be on hand to park you in the appropriate place.
Will I be allowed out of my car?
Only to use the toilets and you must observe social distancing guidelines.
Do I have to leave straight after the event has finished?
Yes. For your own safety, we will ask you to exit the site when your event finishes, taking all litter with you.
Can I bring my boat?
No. (But… maybe next year!?)
