To celebrate 5 years since Where the pancakes first began as a pop-up. London’s dedicated-pancake restaurant will join forces with Flat Iron Square to make room for all pancake lovers this Pancake Day. With over 385kg of batter flipped at last year’s event, 2020 is set to be even bigger!

Where the pancakes are

The restaurant will be extending its opening hours from 7:30 am to 9:30 pm. Additional seating will be available in Flat Iron Square’s Après lodge to ensure as many Londoners as possible get their pancake fix. The day will be first come first served, so pancake lovers should get there early to avoid disappointment!

Celebrate Shrove Tuesday in style!

“Shrove Tuesday is our favourite day of the year, so we’re excited to be able to celebrate it with people who love pancakes as much as we do. Where the pancakes started as a pop-up on Regent’s Canal in Hackney on Shrove Tuesday in 2015.

Fast forward five years, and we now have a thriving restaurant in one of the best areas in London (FIS). Serving pancakes to our amazing local die-hards and the many guests who travel especially to seek a moment of pancake bliss. I’m proud of how far we’ve come – and we’re heading forward with exciting plans for 2020!” Patricia Trijbits, founder.

Where the pancakes are will be serving a smaller menu than usual.
