Where to watch the Oscars in the UK

February is film season. The Golden Globes, BAFTAS, which are then followed by the OSCARS in quick succession. Tonight Hollywood prepare for one of the most prestigious and glitzy nights in the film calendar. The Oscars.

When are the Oscars?

The 92nd Academy Awards will take place on Sunday, February 9 (tonight), at the Dolby Theatre on Hollywood Boulevard, Los Angeles.

What time are the Oscars?

The red carpet will begin from 10 pm (tonight), while the Oscars ceremony itself will kick off around 1 am (GMT).

BBC Radio 5 Live’s special Oscars build-up show will be live from Hollywood from 8-10 pm GMT on Sunday.

How can I watch the Oscars on TV in the UK?

In the UK, the Oscars will be broadcast on Sky Cinema. Red carpet coverage begins at 10 pm, with the ceremony itself starting around 1 am GMT.

OSCAR Nominations 2020 – 92nd Awards

Joker has received 11 nominations, followed by The Irishman, 1917 and Once Upon a Time in Hollywood with 10 each.

Brad Pitt, Renee Zellweger, Joaquin Phoenix and Laura Dern are also forerunners to receive Oscars tonight.

Sir Sam Mendes’ World War One epic 1917 and South Korea’s Parasite are tipped to win Best Picture.
