London’s Rooftop Film Club turns 10 with a summer of celebrations and events!
Kicking off its tenth season, Rooftop Film Club is back for the summer! Reopening at Roof East in Stratford on 18th May and in Peckham’s newly made-over Bussey Building on 21st May. Head to London’s first rooftop cinema experience for all the party vibes this summer. Celebrating its 10th anniversary with a series of exclusive events – from celebration nights to music festival feels.
If you follow this blog you will know that Rooftop Film Club films are my favourite events of the summer. I love film – and I love rooftop drinks. I can’t think of anything better. Bring on the summer after a tough winter lockdown.

Race to the rooftop this summer as London’s original outdoor rooftop cinema, Rooftop Film Club, reopens for its 10th year on 18th May at Roof East, Stratford and 21st May at Bussey Building, Peckham.

Rooftop Film Club offers the ultimate open-air film experience across London.
After a hiatus last summer. London’s favourite cinema is rolling out the carpet for a season that is bigger than ever before. Make up for missed memories and gather your pals for a movie night out with unparalleled views of London’s skyline. A programme of classic and must-see new release movies and a whole host of exclusive events.
What started off on a single rooftop in Shoreditch back in 2011. Rooftop Film Club offers the ultimate open-air film experience across London. Elevate your movie night out at Bussey Building in Peckham or Roof East in Stratford. Enjoying sunset film screenings under the stars with expansive views of London – Instagrammable hotspots – and some of the best food and drink on offer.
To mark a decade of movie magic under the stars. Guests will be treated to ten party nights across the season, complete with cake, party bags, live entertainment.
Golden envelopes with epic prizes will be hidden under deckchairs for the ultimate surprise and delight for twenty unsuspecting guests across the season.

For the ultimate movie throwback night. Rooftop Film Club founder Gerry Cottle Jr has hand-selected his favourite nostalgic movies from the past decade of screenings. There’s something for everyone.
Grab your dance partner for screenings of Dirty Dancing (25th May at both venues). Or head to the Peckham rooftop for the ultimate singalong to Grease (8th June). Channel your inner rebel with The Breakfast Club (20th May at Roof East). Or opt for the classic Forrest Gump on 1st June at the Bussey Rooftop.
Founder of Rooftop Film Club, Gerry Cottle Jnr said, “After a year’s hiatus, we’re thrilled to be rolling out the red carpet and reopening our rooftops for our tenth summer season. As the UK’s first rooftop cinema experience, we’ve reimagined the way people enjoy cinema and at Rooftop Film Club, it’s all about nostalgia, escapism, great views, delicious food, awesome cocktails and your favourite movie on the big screen.
We want this season to make up for last summer and we’re inviting Londoners to come and celebrate our 10th birthday with a host of films and events that are not to be missed. From our first London rooftop cinema in Shoreditch’s Queen of Hoxton to our successful sites in Peckham and Stratford, and more in the pipeline, the sky really is the limit for Rooftop Film Club and we can’t wait to see what the next ten years brings. Keep your eyes peeled for a whole host of events and themed screenings throughout the summer season. With Glastonbury delayed for another year. Head to the Peckham rooftop this June for all of the festival feels you need this summer. Shine a spotlight on some of the capital’s best films with London-inspired screenings in July. It’s getting emotional in August, with a month of movies dedicated to cinema therapy.
Throughout the summer, visitors to the rooftop will be able to support London Youth Charity. Giving a donation at checkout and with any online purchases.
Share a Slice pizza will be dishing out their authentic stone-baked delights at Bussey. While at Roof East be spoilt for choice between Cheeky Burger, East Side Pizza, and Kolkati.
All hot food, classic cinema snacks, and a full range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks will be available to order via the app and delivered to guests’ deckchairs.
